Fabric Covered Storage Boxes

Here's how to turn a cardboard box into a serviceable work of art.

For Christmas this year, I gave my grandson (almost 11 years old) a bookshelf to help him sort and organize his thousands of pieces of Legos, DVDs, video games and devices, toys, and other items. I'm hoping he stays out of trouble about keeping his room clean this coming year.

To keep the storage bins from being plain and boring, I covered some cardboard boxes with fabric. I wasn't sure how well he was going to like it but he actually showed quite a bit of interest and asked for more boxes for his closet. I made these larger ones from the boxes my coffee maker came in.
